Next right click Start button to open Disk Management, scroll down to find the DVD drive. If not choose Uninstall, restart PC to reinstall the driver. If that fails see if Roll Back is available. Under DVD Device, click on Driver tab, first try Update Driver > Automatically. On the View tab, choose Show Hidden Devices. To attempt to repair this, go to Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. See if the problem returns with the Update reinstalling and if so uninstall it and block it using the Hide Updates tool. You can also try to System Restore to a point before this happened. You can try uninstalling any affecting Updates there. Did you receive Windows Updates recently?
